Christmas!

We celebrated Christmas two times. The first was the Sunday before Christmas with Joel's side; parents, brother, sister and his other sister and family. After we ate dinner, we opened gifts.
They would ohh and ahh every time they opened a gift, they were so excited! The funniest part was when they asked if they could play with them there. It was so busy with so many people there I told them they had to wait til they got home. So Both of held their toys under their arms and Ethan took my hand and said, "Go home mommy!"

On Christmas Eve we took Joel's mom out for breakfast for her birthday. Then came back and hosted, with my sister, a baby shower for my cousin. Then hung out at our house with my sister and family for a while before heading to my uncle's house for our annual Christmas Eve dinner of enchiladas. After dinner we caroled around my uncle's neighborhood before going back home and getting ready for bed and read Luke 2. Then we went to bed so Santa could come.

Christmas morning started with opening the stockings that Santa left. and then going downstairs to see what Santa brought as well as what everyone else gave each other. Megan was so excited to see presents under the tree. She stood there bouncing up and down pointing towards the tree while on the stairs. Ethan just ran down the stairs as fast has he could. They were so excited to open gifts this year they even wanted to open Mom, Dad, Grammy's and Papa's gifts.

After we opened gifts we ate muffins and then got ready to go down to my parents old house were all of my mom's side of the family that could make it were gathering for Christmas dinner. It was nice to see everyone. After dinner, we celebrated my cousin Andy's birthday, played games and ate dessert. I think everyone loved being around each other. We hung out for a long time that afternoon into the evening. Megan and Ethan LOVED playing with their cousins, it was hard for me to want to leave while they were having so much fun!
